Here are some of my specialties...
From an early age, I was quite in love with illustration. I loved cartoons and comics, and loved to stare at things like blueprints and schematics, even when I had no idea what they were. I took up simple cartooning first, but that eventually shifted and become more focused in my teen years. I’ve studied and practiced character illustration ever since, and have now brought those skills into the digital world.
Coupled with my years of experience in graphic design and other art media, I can now begin and complete production-quality drawings without wasting one piece of paper or any precious black ink. Although I’ve spent the most time and attention on character illustration, I can draw anything I need to, and am now quite comfortable doing so in an entirely digital manner.
Here are a few of my favorite illustration samples. You can see more in the Illustration section of the Gallery.
During my teen years, I really got into doing portrait work and photorealism. I found that if I could stare at something long enough, I could recreate it with extreme accuracy. People make my favorite subject matter, but I have done some landscape and other types as well.
If there is something (or someone) you need drawn, I can absolutely make that happen, with a keen eye for detail and realism.
Some of my favorite portraits can be previewed below, and there are of course more samples in the Portraits section of the Gallery.
I’ve been working with logo design for nearly two decades, and it is one of my favorite things to do. From start to finish, I can help you establish your corporate identity. Logos, monograms, icons-- whatever your needs-- I can assist you in crafting a visually-appealing and professional logo and/or visual theme.
Below are a few of my favorite samples of logos I’ve designed. You can see more of my work in the Design section of the Gallery.
I’ve also had the benefit of having lots of experience with print media of all sorts. My earliest exposure was with silk screen printing, and four-color process, which really piqued my interest. At around the same time, I was becoming familiar with the early versions of Photoshop and Illustrator, so it seemed only natural that print media would play a large role in my creative works.
Whatever you might need-- business cards, fliers, brochures, CD/DVD covers and labels, packaging labels and/or dielines, posters, banners, or pretty much anything else-- I’ve got you covered.
These are a few of my favorite print media samples, and of course you can see more in the Design section of the Gallery.
I’ve been designing websites for about twelve years now, and this is also one of my favorite things to do. Granted, I’m not really a programmer (way too right-brained), but I’ve learned how to combine my graphic design skills with HTML and CSS, and have also branched out into other languages as well. My main focus is on CSS in this sense, though, and I believe my knowledge and comprehension in this arena is quite excellent.
I have also had experience with web server administration, namely Apache under Linux and Mac OS X, and have a strong understanding of the technologies that make the web work.
If you can conceive of a layout, I can make it work. If you want something daring and different, I can do that, too. Check out some samples below of sites that I am currently working on, which I feel are some great examples of my skill in web design.
